Transparency

Open books, open door.

We're a volunteer-led charity. Every dollar we receive is tracked, and every year we publish what came in and where it went.

Why transparency matters

Trust is built through clarity. Community members, donors and partners all deserve to see how funds move through VIVI'R and how decisions get made. This page covers the principles. The full numbers, year by year, live on the Finances page.

Our principles

What we commit to.

These are the standards we hold ourselves to, even before any regulator requires it.

  • 01

    Public filings, public access

Every annual T3010 we file with the Canada Revenue Agency is searchable on the CRA's public charity database. We link directly to it from this page.

  • 02

Statements available on request, and on the site

Our balance sheet and income statement for every fiscal year are available as PDFs on the Finances page. Not just totals, the full breakdown by account.

  • 03

    Restricted funds stay restricted

Money given for a specific program is tracked in its own fund and spent only on that program. We publish fund balances year-over-year so anyone can verify.

  • 04

    Volunteer-led, no executive compensation

In 2024 we incurred zero employee compensation expense. Our directors serve at arm's length and are not paid for their board service.

Governance

VIVI'R is governed by a volunteer board with program oversight from community advisors. We hold open meetings at key decision points and share minutes on request. All directors serve at arm's length from the organization.

Verify us on the CRA

The Canada Revenue Agency publishes the public profile of every registered charity, including annual filings, board composition and financial statements. Our profile is live and searchable.
