VIVI'R LGBTQ+ is a registered Canadian charity. Donations make our programs possible, and because they are put to work supporting our community, all donations are considered final and are generally non-refundable. We are committed to fairness, so this policy explains the limited circumstances in which we will issue a refund.
1. Donations are generally non-refundable
When you give to VIVI'R LGBTQ+, your gift is voluntary and is used to fund our programs and operations. For this reason, we do not refund donations except in the specific situations described below.
2. Errors and unauthorized transactions
We understand that mistakes happen. We will review and, where appropriate, refund a donation in cases such as:
a) A duplicate charge, or a donation processed more than once in error.
b) An incorrect amount entered by mistake (for example, a typo in the donation amount).
c) A transaction you did not authorize.
To request a correction, please contact us at accounting@vivirlgbtq.org within 90 days of the transaction, with the date, amount, and any confirmation details. We will respond promptly and work with you to resolve it.
3. Recurring donations
If you have set up a recurring (for example, monthly) donation, you may cancel future payments at any time by contacting us at accounting@vivirlgbtq.org. Cancelling stops upcoming payments; donations already processed remain subject to this policy.
4. Tax receipts and refunds
As a registered charity, we issue official donation receipts in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines. If a donation that has already received an official receipt is refunded, the original receipt will be cancelled or corrected as required by the CRA.
5. How payments are processed
Donations made through our website are processed securely by Wild Apricot, our membership and payments platform, on its hosted payment screen. VIVI'R LGBTQ+ does not collect or store your card details. Approved refunds are returned to the original method of payment.
